Instructions
Prep the pan: Line a large baking sheet with parchment or wax paper. You’ll want it ready before things get melty.
Mix the dry stuff: In a big bowl, gently toss together the Chex, Cheerios, pretzels, and cashews. No need to crush anything—just combine.
3 cups rice or corn Chex cereal, 2 cups Cheerios, 1 cup mini pretzel twists, ½ cup salted roasted cashews
Melt the chocolate: Add the candy melts (or white chocolate) and vegetable oil to a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 15-second bursts, stirring well between each, until smooth. Don’t rush this part—scorched white chocolate is the worst.
16 oz white candy melts, 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Coat the mix: Pour the melted chocolate over the cereal mix. Use a spatula to fold everything together until every piece is glossy and coated.
Spread and sprinkle: Spread the mix out on your prepared pan in an even layer. Top right away with sprinkles and toasted coconut while it’s still sticky.
2 tablespoons Easter sprinkles, ½ cup toasted sweetened shredded coconut
Let it set: Let the mix rest at room temp until the chocolate hardens, about 20–30 minutes. In a hurry? Pop the tray in the fridge for 10mins.
Add the fun stuff: Once set, scatter the M&Ms, mini eggs, and marshmallows on top. Gently break into clusters if needed. Store in an airtight container (if you have any left).
1 cup pastel M&Ms, ½ cup mini eggs, ¾ cup mini marshmallows
Notes
Makes about 18 servings based on ½ cup portions. Realistically? It vanishes fast—plan for fewer servings if everyone’s snacking freely!
Don’t overheat the chocolate. Go low and slow in 15-second bursts. Stir often.
Use parchment or wax paper. For easy cleanup and pretty clusters.
Let it set before adding candy. You want that white chocolate to harden first so the colors stay vibrant.
Store it in an airtight container. If it lasts that long.
