These Air Fried Green Beans come out roasted and delicious! The crispy blistered skin gives them a wonderful depth of flavor for the perfect easy side dish.
Did you know that the air fryer makes the absolute best green beans? I mean I’ll always love a good side dish of sautéed green beans, but they do need a little extra work.
On a busy weeknight? Season the beans, throw them in the air fryer and they will be done in 10 minutes! So easy, so hands-off and absolutely delicious.

Ingredient notes
- Green beans: I used fresh green beans. You can also use frozen green beans! They will need an extra minute or two to cook and come out with a slightly different texture, but are still very delicious.
- Olive oil: This is my favorite oil for this recipe, but feel free to use canola oil or any other oil suitable for cooking you have on hand.
- Spicy beans: Feel free to add some chili flakes to the beans for heat.
How to make green beans in the air fryer
Note: Before I air fry anything, I always preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes for best results!
1. Place the trimmed beans in a large bowl and toss with the oil.
2. Sprinkle the seasoning evenly over the beans and toss well to make sure all beans are coated.
3. Carefully place the green beans in the hot air fryer basket.
Air fry for 10 minutes, shaking the basket 2-3 times during the cooking time. Then serve immediately!
Recipe tips
- I use a large Cosori Max Air Fryer (affiliate link) with a basket of 5.8 quart. If you have a much smaller air fryer, you may only be able to cook ½ pound of green beans at a time.
- If you need to double the recipe, please cook it in batches. You mustn’t overcrowd the air fryer, as it cooks with the heat circulating around the food.
- I do not recommend making this recipe ahead of time. The beans taste best and have the best texture eaten right away.
